What a fitting here actually involves
A fitting runs in one order: the hair is assessed and the plan agreed, the tracks are built from your own hair, the wefts are sewn on, and the whole head is cut in, dried and styled, so you leave with it finished rather than pinned up. The cut-in is not an extra: a weave is blunt and uniform until that line is broken, and it belongs to the same appointment.
The consultation, and what it can end in
The consultation looks at the hair that would carry a track, not the hair you see: density where the rows would sit, the layers above them, the hairline and nape, and how your scalp takes being braided flat. It ends in a specification — how many rows, where, which construction, which shade — or in a different recommendation, and occasionally in not yet. On the first day of a trip that is useful; on the last it is a wasted journey.

Colour matched in person, because a panel is unforgiving
A weft shows colour as a solid block along a line, so it is matched here the slow way: shades held against your own hair in daylight, at the root and at the ends, and a blend built where one code will not do. That is the part a photograph cannot finish. It is also why we ask visitors to arrive with their own colour work done: matching a target about to move is wasted work.
Planning the application on your head, not on a list
We agree where each row can honestly sit, how far it can run before the hairline or the nape, and how much hair is available above it to cover the seam. The grams follow from that total length, not the other way round. Construction is chosen the same way: a flatter hand-tied seam where there is little to hide it under, a machine seam where there is plenty.
Where a fitting fits inside a holiday
The fitting and the cut-in are one real session, and we publish no hour figure because it follows the number of rows, the length and how much blending the cut needs. What matters is the shape of the trip, not the shape of the day. Book it early rather than late: you want days to wear it, wash it once, see how it sits when it goes up, and come back if a row feels tight. A fitting the evening before a flight allows none of that.
Sea, pool, and drying the base properly
Nobody is asking you to stay out of the water. The hour afterwards is what counts: rinse the salt or chlorine through with clean water, do not rub at the track, and dry the braid and the base rather than leaving them damp under dry lengths. A braided foundation holds water far longer than loose hair, and a wet base overnight is where matting starts. The rest of the routine is on the maintenance page.
A look at the tracks before you fly
Arrange the follow-up when you book the fitting rather than hoping to add it later. It is a short look at the tracks once you have lived with them: tension, whether a seam is sitting proud anywhere, and whether the cut wants anything after the first wash. All of that is easy here and awkward from another country.
Afterwards, with someone else
Assume the move-up will be done where you live. For this family that is ordinary rather than a compromise: a re-tightening is unpicking, re-braiding and re-sewing, and needs no product of ours, so any technician who works with wefts can do it. What they should not have to do is guess, so identify them before you travel and hand this over in writing:
- Which construction the wefts are, and whether the seam can be cut
- How many rows are fitted, and where each one sits
- Whether the track is a braid, beads, or a braid supported by beads
- Total grams supplied, and the seam length of each piece
- The shade codes with their catalogue, and the blend proportions
- A photograph of the tracks on the day, and the date of the fitting

Can I have a sew-in fitted while I am here on holiday?
Usually yes, provided the specification we agree exists and any colour work on your own hair is done first. The fitting and the cut-in are one session, so book it early in the trip rather than the night before a flight. What is possible on a given date is worth confirming with us directly, and two appointments are occasionally the honest answer.
How long will the appointment take?
We publish no hour figure, because the session follows the number of rows, the length being fitted and how much blending the cut needs. Plan the day around the appointment rather than a number, and keep room later in the trip for a look at the tracks before you fly. Several rows with a full cut-in is not the same appointment as one row.
Can I swim with it here?
Yes, with an hour of care afterwards. Rinse clean water through, avoid rubbing at the track, and dry the braid and the base rather than leaving them damp under dry lengths. A braided base holds water, and left wet overnight it is where matting begins. Tell us at the consultation if you intend to swim daily, because it changes the advice we give you.
Who re-tightens it once I am home?
Whoever you find where you live. This is a mechanical system with no compound to release, so a technician who works with wefts can unpick, re-braid and re-sew without anything of ours. Identify that person before you travel and send them the written detail: construction, rows, track type, grams, seam length and shade codes. Ask whether they will take the set on, ideally before anything is booked.
